LightForce® orthodontic treatment

LightForce® pins
LightForce™ braces are the world’s first 3D printed braces. The use of 3D printing technology allows for the creation of custom braces with unprecedented accuracy and speed.
During the consultation, the patient’s teeth are scanned with an intraoral scanner, creating a digital model of the mouth. Computer-aided design (CAD) software is then used to optimize the function and aesthetics of the braces.
Using this advanced technology, each appliance is designed to perfectly fit the shape and structure of each patient’s tooth. The appliances are then 3D printed on machines designed to produce parts for jet engines and space travel, ensuring unparalleled precision and manufacturing quality.

Traditional pins vs. LightForce® pins
The traditional metal spindles with self-cleaning housings are manufactured in series. They are therefore identical, with the same shape and size. The orthodontist then bends and places the braces to place the teeth in the correct position. With LightForce braces, the process can be started directly with braces that fit each of the patient’s teeth.
Material used
LightForce™ brackets are made from a 3D printed white ceramic. Many patients like the white brackets because a colored elastic band can be added around the bracket, which provides a nice contrast and makes the chosen color stand out. For those looking for a more discreet option, clear ligature bands can be placed around the braces.
